Sarah is a print and multimedia journalist whose work has been published by the Seattle Times, Global Post, the Seattle Weekly and KUOW. She won the 2008 Unity Award for Reporting of Economics, and has won several Independent Press Association Awards, including the 2006 award for Best Feature article, Dismantling a Dangerous Past. In addition to reporting, Sarah heads up the CLP's educational programming.

Alex is a visual journalist whose work has been published by PBS, The Seattle Times, FRONTLINE/World and the Seattle Weekly. He won the 2008 SPJ Award for Business Reporting, First Place for the feature Bitter Harvest. In addition to photojournalism and video production, Alex oversees our international and local reporting projects.
Jessica Partnow

Jessica is a radio journalist whose work has been published by NPR, KUOW, The World and the World Vision Report. She was a 2006 Knight New Media Fellow at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Her radio series Life on the Duwamish received the 2008 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for News Series. In addition to radio reporting, Jessica leads the CLP's administration and organizational development.
Gladys Chiu

Gladys is a current student at the University of Washington, majoring in Communication and expecting to graduate in June 2010. Gladys is originally from Hong Kong, and has been in the US pursuing her higher education since 2006. She is looking forward to improving her multimedia production skills through her internship with the CLP, and is interested in global social justice issues.

Steven is currently a student at the University of Washington, planning on majoring in Journalism. He has his own blog - These Lips Might Sink Ships...- where he writes on his thoughts, feelings, and inspirations. After graduating, he dreams of relocating to New York City where he will write about fashion, the arts, and culture.
Camille Stuteville

Camille graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative History of Ideas and Comparative Religion in the Spring of 2007. During her time at the university Camille lived and studied in the Southern Mexican town of Oaxaca. She has also traveled in Western and Eastern Europe most notably in Croatia and Bosnia. Additionally she spent September 2006 in Turkey discovering the country's diverse religious history. Camille organized our 2007 fundraiser, Celebrate Global Voices, and our 2009 Auction and Celebration, The Journalism Hustle, raising almost $15,000. Thanks Camille!
Tyler Peckenpaugh

Currently pursuing a PhD in Theoretical Linguistics at CUNY Graduate Center, Tyler is a godsend to the Common Language Project, offering expert web advice and assistance whenever our "real" webmaster remembers that she doesn't actually know what she's doing. Tyler spearheaded our recent redesign for the site, designing and implementing a custom content management system from scratch. Thanks Tyler!
